Meeting Location

Our usual monthly schedule, following Meeting for Worship, is

  • Every other First Sundays we (check calendar) we share a potluck meal

  • Second Sundays, Meeting for Business, which uses a uniquely Quaker process of "The Sense of the Meeting" whereby all can be hear and listened to.

  • Third Sundays we usually have a spedial program such as Worship Sharing, or a forum to discuss a topic of concern.

When you visit with us, you will find a spiritual space to reflect, a supportive community to connect with, and a place to experience the peace of the Quaker tradition.

Our Meeting accepts that not everyone has the same journey of faith and that each of us may express our spiritual beliefs in different ways. You will find no written dogma, nor will you be asked to recite a prayer or sing a hymn that expresses someone else's beliefs. We strive to listen to the "still small voice within" for guidance in all our meetings.   The Meeting welcomes non-traditional families and people of all sexual orientations and gender identities.

Quaker Meeting for Worship is a vibrant silence of waiting in expectancy. The silence is not an emptiness crying out to be filled but a disciplined and contemplative openness to the Spirit of God. Our practice is to listen attentively to the harmony of the silent waiting and to the ministry that may arise from the silence. We value the testimonies of simplicity, peace, integrity, community, and equality.
